MyJourney – Zurich’s Global HR Platform
Project Overview
MyJourney is an internal HR platform built for Zurich Insurance to support workforce development across 55,000 employees operating in seven languages worldwide. The system gives employees clarity on their professional development, surfaces skills gaps, and delivers personalised learning through internal experiences and training courses. In practice, it operates as a centralised talent-management and continuous-learning ecosystem for the entire group.

The Challenge
The core challenge was redesigning and launching an HR system for tens of thousands of international employees without disrupting the business as it ran. Coordination required alignment across engineers, architects, designers, and business stakeholders working from a single vision. The scope then expanded into a second phase: a white-label build for Farmers Insurance, a strategic partner that needed the platform tailored and implemented for its own workforce.
My Role & the Solution
Strategic planning and roadmap. I translated the business vision into a quarterly roadmap and broke it down into sprint-level feature delivery, keeping stakeholders and delivery teams aligned on what shipped when.
- End-to-end delivery leadership. I led the redesign and launch from start to finish, facilitating ceremonies, protecting the team from distraction, and holding delivery cadence steady through every phase of the rollout.
- Unifying cross-functional teams. I brought technical, creative, and business teams into one collaborative culture, so engineering, design, and business decisions could be made in the same room instead of relayed between silos.
- Dual product management. After launch, I ran two products in parallel: the core Zurich platform and the Farmers Insurance white-label deployment, each with its own stakeholders, backlog, and release cadence.
Results
- 78,000+ global users across both organisations
- 700k+ skill assessments delivered
- 7 languages supported at launch
- 2 insurance companies live on the platform
- MyJourney commercialised as a new business line for the group
